Alarm Keypad

The alarm keypad has augmented or replaced the conventional key and lock in homes and autos. Alarm keypads make security easy and reduce the risk of theft. No keys to lose or have stolen.

An alarm keypad is a touch device that one uses, much like a touch-tone phone. One simply presses an alphanumeric keypad, inputting a simple code to arm or disarm a home or car alarm.

In modern home security systems, the alarm control keypad is the brains of the system. Technological advances have also un-tethered the alarm system keypad. Alarm keypad wiring is not always necessary with a wireless alarm keypad.

The car alarm keypad not only locks the car. When armed it disables the engine from starting. It can even start the engine. It can be programmed for multiple users, or even trigger different driver seat adjustments from memory.

Some alarm keypads are actually not even real. A fake alarm keypad can be a very effective deterrent. Some would-be thieves will simply not bother once they see a security alarm keypad.

There are many manufacturers of wireless, touch screen and protocol alarm keypad types. General Electric, Bell & Howell, X10 to name a few. Pricing and quality vary widely and are not brand specific.
